Meadow lodge is located at 2200m below Cupola peak. It is known for its legendary pillow lines right below the lodge and steep couloirs above it. Add the longest avalanche paths in the Esplanades on both the north and south aspects, West facing runs off of Paradise ridge and you have got yourself a great mix of terrain for stormy days in January. Favourite runs? The Fondues and Better than sex ;)

  • We will be able to split into 2 groups, one with more of a relaxed pace (1000-1500m days) and the other group with a classic pace (1500m + days)

  • Pillows right below the lodge, North and South facing avy paths along the entire draininage, and mellower West facing Alpine runs off of the Paradise Ridge.

  • Plan to arrive in Golden, BC, the night before your trip start date. We will meet at the Golden Alpine Holidays office on the morning of your trip start date to sign the waivers. The staging for the helicopter flight is a 40 minute drive from Golden, heading west on Highway 1. This is where we leave our vehicles and fly into the lodge.

  • Day 1: Waivers + Heli in to the lodge

    Meet at the GAH office in Golden at 0730, sign waivers, and travel to their staging on HWY 1, 40 mins west of Golden. There, we will gather all of our gear, and get ready for heli transport. Once everyone is at the lodge, we will do a lodge briefing, companion rescue briefing and head out to sample the goods if time allows. 

    Day 2 - 7: Sleep, Eat, Ski, Sauna, Repeat

    6 Full days of skiing!

    Day 8: Heli out

    We will help the custodian with the lodge clean, and get organized for the first flight at 0900. Heli exchange should be completed by noon under favourable flying conditions.
